Awareness and Education
This section of the exhibition focuses on the awareness and education around disability. Fitchburg and the people of Fitchburg State University have made many attempts to make people aware of the disabilities prevalent in our community. They have also worked to educate people about disabilities. Fitchburg State has offered many services on and off campus to people with disabilities. Those important people and their work are introduced in this section. The University has also done a lot to make people feel as comfortable and supported as they can. It is important to make people aware of disabilities and to educate them. This is because people need to be informed about what other people’s lives are like. This also helps to limit bias and perceptions about people with disabilities.
